Life Force/Vitality - (Physical, Mental, Spiritual Energy)
The Chinese call it "chi" (in Japanese "ki"), life force. It is the basis for acupuncture and many other Chinese, Japanese, and traditional forms of healing. Lao Tsu, Confucius, Li Po and other great Chinese sages (many of whom were also doctors) studied chi as their second nature. In traditional China every martial artist had to have at least a grounding in the plexuses of chi, to know the "death points," where to strike. Although Western scientists have been skeptical because the chi cannot be easily managed by conventional "scientific" instruments, for the Taoist martial artist the "chi" is as "real" as a chair.
When you connect to your power and then relax (integrity) (see Help Basics -- Principle of Connection; Relax) the chi begins to flow. It flows as you work on your mission. It flows into your budget. It courses through the meridians of your body as you watch your opponent move and as you counter. It flows in the discoveries you make, in your sense of abundance and in your exuberance at simply being alive and as you pay your victories forward. It will flow in compound interest throughout the networks of dedicated players, practicing together, learning, and taking conscious action together. The life force drives to express itself, extending like a plant, in every fiber of its being to the Sun.
