Tutorial - Budget
In the system you are learning you have 4 critical resources
at your disposal:
- Time with a value of 1,
- effort with a value of 2,
- money, with a value of 3, and
- your creative vitality, with a value of 4.
Please note the following:
- All elements are important, but in negotiations, creative
vitality has proven 4 times as critical as time, the percentage of funds you have actually
committed (i.e., money) 3 times as important, and so forth.
- Some provident people track the time and money they invest in
different enterprises. Few, however, have a way of checking on the extent of effort and
creativity expended. But this is a great loss, since without a way of monetizing our
expenditure of these resources, we squander them. In this program, you will acquire a
handy tool to keep track of all four elements in the form of Integrity Budget
Units (IBUs).
In considering budget, here are some important keys:
- Allocate your budget after you know what you want and have
prepared your mission and purpose.
- Check your expenditures from time to time to see whether you
are on budget.
- Conserve your most precious resource, your creative vitality,
whenever you have a chance.
- Beware of those who waste your creative energies as a result
of their own ineffectiveness or perversity.
- Take steps whenever you can to replenish your budget and to
re-create yourself.
