In physics resonance refers to the effect produced when the natural vibratory frequency of a body is greatly amplified by the reinforcing vibrations at the same or nearly the same frequency of another body. If you twang a string of a piano it can induce a violin string across the room to vibrate, provided that both strings are tuned to the same frequency. It is also reported that a set of crystals can cause a transmitting antenna and a receiving antenna to vibrate in resonance if they are both cut to a matching frequency. (See Peter Tompkins and Christopher Bird, Secrets of the Soil, 1989)
In the realm of action resonant communication takes place largely at the level of the unconscious. One person's integrity helps to build another's. People start acting often without being aware of it in unaccustomed and kindly ways.
As the number of good deeds increases and their rate accelerates, much like bombarded neutrons in a nuclear chain reaction a critical mass is reached. Then an explosion can occur of such human warmth, kindness, generosity and cheer that the world might never recover from it.
