Santa Fe, NM--No one in this life is immune from adversity, though few know how to turn adversity to advantage. Many have opportunities for success and happiness, although few understand how to fully realize them. In a turbulent world is it possible to find equilibrium, so that irrespective of success or adversity, we can still be happy?

Julian Gresser, international lawyer, author, consultant, and inventor believes so. According to Gresser, the secret to working with these natural forces which shape our destiny is the principle of "integrity." Integrity is the "sense of being connected, whole, coherent and adaptively alive." His most striking proposition is that integrity is a fundamental life skill that can be learned by virtually anyone with dedicated practice.

Gresser has developed a highly effective one day workshop to teach the skill of integrity that utilizes several practical tools included in the cost of attendance. His book: Piloting Through Chaos: Wise Leadership/Effective Negotiation for the 21st Century. (Five Rings Press, 1995) explains his philosophy and methodology. A novel software program, The Artful Navigator(TM), serves individuals and teams as a "personal coach." Membership in an innovative online community known as The Logos Network rounds out this extraordinarily empowering suite of tools.

The Logos Network (http://www.LogosNet.com), which Gresser terms a "conspiracy of good," consists of past workshop participants who share discoveries, explore new business opportunities, create strategic alliances and continue to sharpen their negotiation skills by coaching each other.

“It transcends the traditional Usenet group." Gresser says. "It is an international network of people trained in the skill of integrity, linked by a common structured methodology, who share a common means of effective communication. By working together these Artful Negotiators can learn, grow, and effect positive change not only in their own lives and communities, but throughout the world."

Past participants in Gresser's workshops have come from a wide range of companies, industries and governments, only a small sample of which includes Intel Corp., Federal Express Corp., Coopers & Lybrand Management, Anderson Consulting, the U.S. Department of Justice, Sun Microsystems, Saab and the Government of Hong Kong.

Attendees have included CEOs, senior and middle managers, engineers, computer professionals, lawyers, educators, legislators, political, social and environmental activists, psychologists, medical professionals, writers, actors, artists and people interested in "New Thought" and new ways of constructing a better world.

Julian Gresser has been twice Visiting Mitsubishi Professor at Harvard Law School and also taught seminars on technology, economics and law as a Visiting Professor at MIT. He has been a consultant to the U.S. State Department, The Prime Minister's Office of Japan, The World Bank, The Republic of Korea, The People's Republic of China, The European Commission, as well as hundreds of U.S., European, and Japanese Companies.

The workshop will take place at the Santa Fe Community College on Saturday, May 3, 1997 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The cost is $245.00 if registering before April 20th and $295.00 thereafter and includes the book Piloting Through Chaos, the Artful Navigator(TM) software, and a one year membership in The Logos Network (http://www.LogosNet.com). In addition to providing breakfast and lunch for the seminar, the Old Santa Fe Trail Bookstore & Coffeehouse in Santa Fe will host a booksigning with Mr. Gresser Thursday, May 1 at 7:00 p.m.
